Jim Gunn, Founder

“Gunner” (as he’s known in the oil patch) earned a commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1972 and worked for nine years in the insurance business. He next worked for a land service firm where he broadened his right-of-way expertise, before starting MSL Land Services in 1983. One of his more significant achievements is the coordination and completion of a major 60-mile pipeline, amid time and budget constraints, for BP Canada Energy Company. To keep current and connected in his field, Gunner is an active member (and past president

of the Calgary chapter) of the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA) and the Alberta Association of Surface Land Agents (AASLA). He was also a Councilor for the Town of Chestermere for six years.
