We realize we’re only as good as our relationships. Forging strong connections with the communities in which we do business is a big part of that.

MSL employs a dedicated group of people who are concerned with those less fortunate than themselves, and as such, we contribute to various charities. We also support families in need at Christmas – this past year we chose to donate to the Shamrock’s Children Fund. In addition, MSL Land sponsors a variety of industry events in association with CAPLA and IRWA.

Health & Safety

MSL is committed to promote health and safety issues and train our team to avoid risks.  In 2015 MSL achieved it’s COR certification for safety.  We are currently registered with ISnetworld and Canada HSE to administer and maintain Health and Safety.

Volunteerism

We have a giving spirit here at MSL – our team members volunteer their time to various community associations and causes. Rob has volunteered in various roles for the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA) Chapter 48 and currently gives back to the community coaching kids sports teams. Jim Gunn has also dedicated his time to IRWA Chapter 48 and served as president in 1991.

Our team also volunteer for other industry related events and committees. Gunner and Willie have helped make the IRWA Stampede Breakfast a successful event for the past 30 years.

Movember

MSL Land continues to support not only our customers on a daily basis, but the issues that impact them directly or indirectly as well. In November 2009, our land agents participated in Movember.

Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues – specifically prostate cancer.

Participants are required to grow a mustache for the entire month while raising funds for the cause. This event was a lot of fun for our group and despite the displeasure of some of the significant others, each landman went the distance. While some of the team did better than others in the growing department, we are very proud to say that the MSL team raised over $5000 for the cause.
